1. What are reusable bamboo pads used for and who are they designed for?
Reusable bamboo pads are intended for women who prefer natural, breathable and hypoallergenic materials while reducing sanitary waste. They are suitable for everyday menstrual use as an eco-friendly, skin-safe alternative to disposable pads.
2. How do bamboo pads work in practice?
Two layers of bamboo terry efficiently absorb moisture, while the soft top bamboo fabric provides comfort and hypoallergenic contact. The outer PUL protects against leaks and keeps the pad securely in place.
3. What distinguishes each layer and what function does it serve?
Inside the pad are two absorbent bamboo terry layers. The skin-side layer (94% bamboo, 6% elastane) offers a hypoallergenic feel. The coloured PUL exterior creates a waterproof barrier.
4. How to choose the right size and absorbency?
With a length of approximately 18-19cm , the pad fits light and last days of menstrual flow and is compatible with most underwear styles.
5. How should the pads be washed to ensure longevity?
Rinse in cold water after use and machine-wash similarly to reusable nappies. Avoid high temperatures and fabric softeners to prolong the life of both bamboo and PUL.
6. What mistakes should be avoided when using reusable pads?
Avoid storing wet pads in airtight containers for long periods and do not use bleach. Both practices may damage fibres and reduce absorbency.
7. What benefits do bamboo pads offer in daily use?
They provide a hypoallergenic surface that reduces irritation risk, remain thin and comfortable, and as a reusable solution significantly reduce waste and long-term costs.
